Loan Related Rules and Fines

Loan Entitlement of Library Members

Loan entitlement varies according to membership category I.e (Undergraduates (Full Time), Undergraduates (Top Up), Postgraduates, Remote Learning Students, or University Staff) in the library.

Undergraduates (Full Time)

Three items for 3 days. 

Undergraduates (Top Up)

Three items for 1 week.

Postgraduates

Three items for 3 days. 

Remote Learning Students

  Three items for 2 weeks. 

University Staff

  Three items for 2 weeks.

External members

No loan of library material.

Lockers

  1. Members with unpaid fines and debts will have their library borrowing, renewing and holding privileges temporarily suspended until these liabilities have been cleared/ paid.
  2. Graduating students must return all library outstanding loans, fines and debts must be paid, before clearing with the library.
  3. All debts to the Library must be paid when due to the finance department.
  4. Fines for open shelves books start from the appropriate day after the due date.
  5. Fines for reserve section materials start from the appropriate day after the due date.
